Outcomes: Matt has already reached out to corporate contacts in the PDX metro area to become WiN sponsors and received encouraging responses. SAO will continue this effort based on the program and sponsorship value packages we create (see below).
I had a good meeting with Bill Uzgalis, the presiding officer of the Corvallis Odd Fellows. He had previously met with John Sechrest and Chris Klemm and he is interested in sponsoring a "green business competition". We talked a little about WAC and WiN and I suggested he have the IOOF local Corvallis lodge contribute $1,500 to sponsor 3 green businesses that can not afford the entry table fee. We would vet them via a SWOT like process between now and the WiN event in Nov. He was up for it. Now Chris's contract was not renewed for next year so I will need some help if we want to pull this off. I also lost my contract with the BEC and my contract with the Chamber ends June 30th. Not complaining just reporting.
I will also shoot an email to Skip Rung and attempt to determine their interest in a sponsorship with BEST, ONAMI and OTRADI for 5 hi tech companies that they would sponsor for a fee of $1,500. Stand by for updates to our sucess moving forward.
Additionally, I will check with the Eugene Chamber of Commerce and see if they can visualize the WiN in Novemeber as sort of a pump priming deal for WAC IV and see if they will sponsor in some fashion.
Moving forward for innovation, job creation, and sustainability!!!!
