Loved it all! Great job planners. Well executed and well attended. Nothing but praise and satisfation with one and only (1) small exception! The mini buttons....what the &*^_) were they purchased for? They came too late for advertising this years event and they are not going to become the collector's items that someone touted. Do NOT waste sponsor's money or they will not continue to support. Don't talk to me about dogs and body parts! I sold 3 of them for a buck and couldn't even get that dollar back in the kitty! smile I loved the size. Maybe smaller is better but I don't think many would agree!

SUPER JOB TO ALL CONCERNED--#WIN09 ROCKED!

Well done! It was great to have Ignite and Win09 biz stuff together. Very nice for creative types. It was great to see folks in person that I'd only known online. Lots of businesses locally that I never knew about. Cool chat with one of the bus folks, nice to hear what Portlanders are up to. Another talk with someone who didn't know what ignite was all about, but was there to check it out...they enjoyed it!

Some additional thoughts-

* Perhaps a tweet-up, or some time for local tweeters to introduce themselves to each other.
* A note beforehand that Ignite may have adult content. A kid safe version could rock. (I almost took mine.)
* Not sure why so many folks bailed on the Innovation Panel. The forthright discussion was very interesting.
* Hope the WIN website will continue the discussions, discoveries, and community.

Bill did you poke yourself with a button? LOL. The idea for the buttons was to create something people could keep. Perhaps pin it on their bag, hat or purse to identify them as a member of the Willamette Innovators Network. The buttons were a pretty minimal expense. They were after all really small (wink).

John, I'm digging your tweet-up idea. That's a great idea of a community building activity for WIN. I was personally disappointed with the Innovation Panel. I had high hopes. I'm sure we will be reviewing its scheduling and execution.

I have to say that I was quite impressed with the content of the Innovation Panel, and the folks involved. The bigger types of projects they are concerned was an eye opener, not the sort of thing I deal with on a day-to-day basis...which was good.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Best part of the event was the WHOLE THING! From the fantastic kick-off by James Curleigh to the concluding presentations during IGNITE! - WIN09 ROCKED! And, to see Mayor Tomlinson up there giving a presentation that so succinctly captured the meaning of the whole event in FIVE minutes was the beauty of the event for me - It's all about conscious awareness and commitment to place. This is the place where good things can happen!!

Wild idea? I want to do it again - Bigger, Better, Bolder...!
And... I want to see WIN continue to grow as a resource/community center for innovation and economic development!

Special thanks to all of our partners, sponsors and the many exhibitors and affiliated organizations that came together in one place, in one night, to learn, explore and share reseources and ideas! Let's keep it going...!

Great event.

I like the idea of a tweet-up. I know that it would have been nice to have a specified area for Beer & Bloggers / Young Pros.

Also, are their any other groups who would want to join the fun?

I think overlapping the panel with the exhibit hall may have contributed to the low panel attendance. I know that's why I had to leave.

I liked the feel of the exhibit hall. The low light was cool. And the arrangement was unique.

The food could have been a little more substantial. If you expect people to stay through 9:30 to watch Ignite, you gotta feed them! :) Or maybe we need more food for Ignite...

Anyone have any Ignite feedback?

J

I have ignite feedback! I'd like more presenters. I wanted it to be a bit longer.

I would NOT like a kid-safe ignite. I liked the raunchy presentations best. A warning would work i suppose.

I'd like to see more of us using/doing what we learn from these. I didn't see many tweets, comments, or adds from it......not a lot of "talking about local businesses and people" afterward.

Were people hungry during ignite? Even after sneaking into the cupcake stores? Maybe full sized cupcakes next time?

I'm very grateful to you and your team for an outstanding event. WIN'09 completely reset my thinking about the way a Corvallis event could run, to say nothing of the nature of innovation itself.

Brilliant, all the way around. And I know you and your gang worked
even harder than the previous year to make it all happen -- I hope you
get a little while to bask in pride at what you've done! I'm looking
forward to next year's event.

I do have one small item of feedback. The event now has so much going
on that scheduling must be a nightmare. However, it was tough for me
to have to give up the Innovation Panel discussion (fascinating topic, speakers, and a couple of friends on the panel) in order to attend to
our booth when the customers were admitted. As it happened, I got to
the hall a few minutes late after the keynote address, and missed a
couple of people I should probably have greeted. I'm not sure there's

an easy way to do this, but if there's a way to have it possible to catch keynote, panel discussion and exhibit time in the future, that
would be great. But that may not be possible, and it may just be the
price we have to pay for having a rich schedule. On the plus side, one

of the excellent features of the schedule was having Ignite after the exhibit hours (though an extra fifteen minutes buffer there would have been good, too).

But, all in all, it was a great event -- completely head and shoulders
above the previous ones, which were pretty good themselves. Please
accept my thanks, and pass on my congratulations to your team!
