Mysty Rusk, the President of the Chamber-Coalition rolled out the new economic development newsletter. She did a nice job and responded to questions and gathered input about the new communication tool. I thought it was well-attended and a good cross section of the most logical folks working directly in the area of economic development. Both Kathleen Hutchenson the Director of the BEC and I were there along with Hal Brauner of the Administrative Services Committee of the city council and Ken Gibbs the city development director (if I have his title correct).
John Sechrest put on another good informative session with help from an Attorney from Portland who talked and answered questions about venture formation and the founding documents. While it was a much smaller group, the folks in attendance had ample opportunity to get some questions answered about incorporation and the types of venture best suited to their purpose.
