We are writing to ask for your help on an important initiative for the Oregon tech industry. As you may already know, we have been working to develop a website and database profiling software and technology companies in Oregon and SW Washington. This initiative is part of a broader effort to increase the visibility of Oregon tech companies in key markets outside of the state and to educate business and public sector leaders in Oregon about our industry, which is vital to the health of the state’s economy. A beta version of the website and database is scheduled for launch on March 22.
We invite you to spend a few minutes reviewing your company profile and making any modifications that you see fit. If you have not done so already, please take a few minutes to complete a profile of your company using this online form.
The profile will be featured in the database and on the website when we launch it in beta on the evening of March 22 at a 2012 Software Industry Summit at PSU. We hope to see you there. If you register before March 21, admission to the Summit is free.
Among other features, the website will offer companies a lead generation mechanism, will include key industry stats on workforce and employment trends and key subsectors, and will also include a mentor-mentee matching tool as part of a database of local tech professionals and software user groups. Most importantly, the website will provide significant free exposure for those companies featured on it.
If you have any questions or concerns about the website or database, please do not hesitate to contact Skip Newberry, SAO’s President, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
