As a part of the Willamette Innovators Network, the Corvallis Software Association invites you to join for networking and programming sponsored by Mega Tech of Oregon and the East Gate Business Center.

In addition to our normal networking and gathering, we will feature programming regarding, "How to Take Your Product from Prototype to Production" as well as take a plant tour of Mega Tech of Oregon, a local contract manufacturing company. 

Since its founding in Corvallis in 1988, MTO has helped start-ups and established companies with their contract engineering, manufacturing, and support services. Over the last two decades, MTO has worked with companies in a wide range of industries, including medical, consumer products, forestry, aviation and others, both regionally and nationally.

Here’s an excellent opportunity to see the steps that real products take on their way to customers. Even if your work doesn’t involve manufacturing you’ll gain useful insight into an important industry.  And, you’ll learn how to set-up successful collaboration with partners and suppliers.  

The presentation will focus on how to prepare your new product for production. Including:

• Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• How to develop and estimate a Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Building a prototype and evaluation model
• Getting ready for production
• How to create win-win relationships with suppliers (Vested Outsourcing)

 The plant tour will include visits to the various processes in manufacturing: printed circuit board assembly, box build/final product assembly cable and wire harnesses, and supply chain management.

In addition to the plant tour there will be networking time as well as complimentary food and beverages, non-host bar.
